Starbucks Hojicha Tea Jelly and Red Bean Green Tea Frappuccino + giveaway!

Available exclusively in Asia, Starbucks' answer to the milk tea craze that's currently gripping the region is finally here -- in the form of two new creamy tea-based beverages guaranteed to tickle your tastebuds! These drinks will be available at all Starbucks branches starting today, June 12.

Hojicha Tea Jelly Frappuccino at Starbucks
First we have the Hojicha Tea Jelly Frappuccino (P155 Tall / P165 Grande / P175 Venti). Japanese roasted tea is combined with Starbucks' own Tazo Earl Grey tea-infused jelly. I liked it but I wish I could adjust the sweetness a little. The tea jelly is soooo good... it's so much fun slurping them through the straw. 

Red Bean Green Tea Frappuccino at Starbucks
Red Bean Green Tea Frappuccino (P155 Tall / P165 Grande / P175 Venti)isn't really a new drink, Starbucks just made the existing Green Tea Frap better. It now comes topped with sweet and chewy azuki red beans. It's so Japanese. Now it's more like dessert, hehe!

Bacon and Cheese on Italian Bread at Starbucks
Of course, these new drinks have to come with new food items to accompany them. First off we have Bacon and Cheese on Italian Country Bread (P150, pictured above). A sinful and savory grilled cheese sandwich with six cheeses (Gruyere, Emmenthal, Provolone, Mozzarella, Feta, and Cheddar) and crispy bacon strips. It's sooo good but I could feel my waistline expanding with every bite, haha!

Beef and Mushroom Pie at Starbucks
Then there's Beef and Mushroom Pie (P95, pictured above). A rich, buttery, and flaky crust engulfs tender beef strips, sliced mushrooms, carrots, and mashed potatoes.

Chicken Parmigiana Wrap at Starbucks
This is the Chicken Parmigiana Wrap (P150, pictured above). I was unable to take a decent photo so I used the one provided in the press kit. Chicken breast fillet, sliced eggplant, tomato sauce, and grated cheese are wrapped in chewy pita bread. Very tasty!

Purple Yam Cake with Macapuno and Red Bean at Starbucks
Two new cakes were also introduced. First off there's Purple Yam Cake with Macapuno and Red Bean (P110, pictured above). This cake combines Pinoy favorites like ube (yam) and macapuno (sweetened coconut strips) with red beans. My son loves it!

Green Tea and Berry Cheesecake at Starbucks
This is the Green Tea and Berry Cheesecake (P140, pictured above). Green Tea and blueberry are mixed into this creamy cheesecake for a unique flavor experience. The walnut crust gives it an extra crunch too. Yum!

All these goodies will be available at Starbucks branches starting June 12, 2012.
